If you have had a blog shutdown you know the feeling. It's a feeling of helplessness, fear of starting over, and even anger. It's not a good feeling at all. I have had two blogs shutdown and I know those feelings all to well but I was not going to be stopped. I had made up my mind to become an unstoppable rally back blogger. Yes, I was going to rally back and that is exactly what I did. However, I made some changes. I changed both of my blogs names. It symbolized a new beginning but more importantly that I was going to do things even better this time. I knew in my heart that my blogs were not spam blogs. After all, I put a lot of time writing my blog posts. I had even wrote a rough draft of my blog posts for my natural health blog before I posted them on my blog. My blogs were not spam blogs. I was accused wrongfully of something that I did not do.
I wasn't about to give up. My whole being wouldn't let me. This is something that I really like to do. My blogs are my babies. No one takes my babies away from me. I tried to make sense of things. Nothing was making me feel better. What were the odds of this happening to me twice? I was really, really upset. I really didn't want to start over but quitting wasn't an option. My blog is my business. What I realized is I should of never been blogging at those blogging platforms anyway. They were never really right for me. Weebly didn't allow me to edit all of the template (they only allow you to edit the website template) and Blogger is shutting down things left and right first google reader and now their affiliate network. Also, they wouldn't give me the chance to edit my blog to correct the things they accused me of. That was a sign to me that I had been wrongfully targeted and they wouldn't admit to making a mistake. However, I wouldn't have never came to these conclusions if my blogs wouldn't have been shutdown. I realized that I was not happy with either of those blogging platforms but I didn't want to start over and was too lazy to move. I also didn't want to be at blogging platforms that didn't tell you what you did wrong and just snatched your blog right from under you.
I have found two blogging platforms that I liked and I must say are just right for me. Before I picked the blogging platforms that I would be using. I had received an issue of Website's Magazine and in it was an article about "50 Top Tools Platforms And Frameworks For Design And Development" and the blogging platforms that I am using were on the list. Also, my favorite blogger Lynn Terry had did a blog post about Ucoz. Everything really does happen for a reason whether we understand it or not. I can honestly say that I am a happier blogger from the experience (I did not feel like this right away).
Here are 6 tips that helped me become an Unstoppable Rally Back Blogger:
- Don't quit even if you feel like it.
- Make sure you are using a blogging platform that is right for you.
- Don't give in to the feelings of anger and disappointment.
- Remember why you started blogging in the first place.
- This is your business and you have to keep it going and your readers will be sad if they don't hear from you.
- Decide to make your blog even better.
